Although the box office is always captured by Pixar and Disney Animation Studios. There is a number of reasons that make Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse an animated movie for all age range, from kids to adults.
Spiderman: into the Spider-verse tells us an untold story in an unused animation style. What makes it a different Spiderman movie is creativity in both attributes.
The Story of Spiderman: into the Spider-verse
The biggest question ask is:
How do they tell a story that has been told dozens of times over?
Spiderman into the Spider-verse producers decided to tell the story of Miles Morales. A comic book character with a different background. His first appearance was in Ultimate Fallout in August 2011. He is half African-American and half Porto Rican. They knew that they need a new character and Peter Parker’s story is outdated. What makes Spiderman into the Spider-verse different from any other Spiderman movies is the way producers choose to tell the main character’s story. After Miles was bitten by a radioactive spider and gained superhuman power we do not see much of his powers’ show off! What we see mostly is how the character learns of his power and gets used to his new self.
It’s not the repetition of other Spiderman stories. Peter Parker does not live with his aunt and uncle. Uncle Ben does not die. Miles is not enthusiastic about being the Spiderman. He is wondering about the process he is going through. The growing pain inside himself. Like the way, we all experienced a painful yet self-growing moment in life. And when the time comes, he wears his Spiderman suit and starts his adventure as a Spiderman.
The story brings a number of spider people from different worlds together. This familiarity for comic book fans and any other Spiderman fans is pleasant
Miles Morales is from comic books. He admires Peter Parker. A radioactive spider bit him and he received spider-like abilities. His notable ability is his speed and agility just like Peter Parker. However, he has the “venom strike” ability which is manifested like an electric shock and the power to camouflage himself.
In the early Spiderman stories, Gwen Stacy is Peter Parker’s love. Their love story ends in a tragedy. The antagonist, Green Goblin, throws her off the Brooklyn Bridge. Consequently, When Parker wants to save her with his spider web her neck snaps.
In other comic book stories, Stacy is bitten by the spider instead of Peter Parker. She tends not to use her powers. Peter Parker makes an elixir to be special like Gwen. He turns to a giant lizard. Gwen kills him without knowing that it is Peter.
In the other story, Earth-65, Morales travels to her universe and becomes romantically involved with her.
Peter B. Parker
Peter B. Parker is an older Peter Parker who has called off his relationship with Mary Jane Watson. He is a depressed character that prefers to wear his sweats instead of his Spiderman custom. He looks a little chubby too!
Peni Parker is a Japanese American orphan teen who first appeared on Earth-14512. Uncle Ben and Aunt May adopted her. Peni doesn’t wear a Spiderman custom. She wears a mechanical suit called SP//dr. Her best friend Spider controls it.
Spiderman Noir was first appeared in 2004 in “Marvel Noir” comic line by Marvel. He is actually Peter Parker from 1930. He has the power but under the influence of labor activism of aunt May and socialist philosophies of Uncle Ben, he doesn’t use his abilities. Spiderman Noir believes that “with great power, there must also come great responsibility”. His all-black outfit shows his moral doubtfulness.
Spiderham is actually Peter Porker. In 1983, Peter Porker became one of the spider characters through being bitten by a radioactive pig.
Peter Parker plays briefly in the Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse. He is a well-known, respected, and happy Spiderman. He married Mary Jane Watson.
All we had seen in previous animated and non-animated Spiderman movies was jumping through towers in New York City. Spiderman was so busy saving the city from the villainess. The previous producers, with all respect, brought no innovation and creativity for our eyes.
Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse on the other hand, surprises us; makes us all sit until the very last second of the movie and enjoy every little bit of it. Spiderman with numerous creative and new techniques invites us to watch a whole new Spiderman story. All the technical innovations grab our attention and make us follow to the end.
The comic book style of Spiderman: into the Spider-verse is a gift for our nerdy minds. Back when we were younger, comic books were the only entertainment utility that lightened up our imagination. We would find ourselves on the comic book stores wandering between the comic books and dreaming. Spiderman: into the Spider-verse is a collection of what we have always wanted. Characters from different universes of the comic world gather in one moving world. They move and carry out the story to the end.
